- 29 Nov 2018: Mr McGlue after gluing Fourth Place Outer Spiral Support
- 29 Sep 2018: Mr McGlue, meet Mr McGlue.
Dr Sugar is the manager. He was the first person to come on to the set in the first attempt to create Marble Track 3 back in 2011 or so.
Though Dr Sugar has really short arms, he is also quite gymnastic and can flip around and move relatively easily around different parts of the track.
Dr Sugar’s TODO list:
After moving this guy around, I noticed that he looks just about the same whether facing forwards or backwards so there was a gag during which he goes just off the set and was magically going back onto the set without having had time to turn around. But via the magic of the fact that this is not real he was already turned around.
Right now Reversible Guy is waiting for the glue to dry while he is holding the first support that will hold up the Outer Spiral.
Candycane Mom is one of the first characters on the set, and somewhat of a manager character.
She is pretty much no nonsense, but does have some compassion for her kids and other workers.
She is currently off the set after having a dizzy spell from being spun around too quickly, but I’m sure she’ll be back to direct things within the set.
Her two sons work on the set.
G. Choppy is one of the characters who has a very specific job. His job is to cut wood and that’s what he does.
I usually try to make the cuts happen by him raising his sword for three frames which equals one quarter of one second in movie Playback times before he makes the cut.
Sometimes he just curves pieces, and I don’t have a clear timing on how long that takes, because it depends on the curve each time.
But cuts are essentially binary. A piece is either cut or not cut, so it takes 1⁄4 of a second before the cut to prepare to cut.
G. Choppy, then known as “the green cutter”, was in the first attempt at marble track 3 movie from back 6 years ago or so.
As of this writing (Nov 2018) G Choppy has just cut the fourth chopstick which will support the Outer Spiral. It is quite close to the beginning of the outer spiral, listing at an angle near the Lowest Largest U-turn.
Mr McGlue has a very specific job. He glues pieces of wood together. He has one long arm which he uses to deliver glue. He stands upright on two feet, but the one on his arm side is really small.
Mr McGlue is a ghostable character, meaning (for my convenience) he can pass through wooden sticks. As the track construction moves along, Mr McGlue’s big feet were making it more and more difficult to let him pass through most areas of the track. I had considered removing his big shoes, but they are glued to his feet in a way that would damage his feet too much. So on 29th of September 2018 I made a copy of Mr McGlue with short feet.
Pinky is a character who was present in the first attempt at making Marble Track 3 6 years ago. At that time was a little bit silly, but this time she’s more grown up.
At this time, November 2018, she is testing the medium marble on the Caret Splitter. She will find it works perfectly, but the small marble does not.
Mr Greene was recently named after a dot on a drawing I gave Chris a couple years ago.
They don’t have names but I called them the big brother and little brother. Their actions are modeled after me and my brother but the modeling is not clear. They both have characteristics of both of us.
